I am not a morning person, and by that I mean that my brain does not fully kick in until at least lunchtime.

I made the mistake of crocheting this block in the morning and so I managed to be completely bamboozled by the pattern. It took me two unsuccessful tries of round 5 before I realised that I had completely overlooked one section of the instructions.

I had also chosen this one to replace one of my first few blocks which used a different colour scheme. I didn’t notice until after I finished it that I had followed a different version. That makes this my 31st block instead of a replacement for the third. It comes from “100 Bright and Colourful Granny Squares to Mix and Match” by Leonie Morgan on page 52.

It’s a good thing I don’t take myself too seriously.
