Granny Square - Popcorn and Lace

It was really nice for a change to work in only one colour and not have to be weaving and sewing ends in every round or two. I have become obsessed by trying to balance each of the colours and I resorted to weighing each of the balls because I became completely confused by the blues, they are so bright and cheerful that they seem to take up more space than they do. I was surprised to find by the weight that I had used more of those colours and it was not their cheeriness deceiving me.

So, that settled, I used the light brown for this square. It can be found in “10 Granny Squares 30 Bags” by Margaret Hubert, on page 79 and measures 16cm x 16 cm.
