Granny Square - Simple Waves

My only complaint with this block is that it’s not possible to carry the yarn up the sides of the work as it is in knitting. Even though I usually work the ends in as I go, by crocheting over them for 5 or 6 stitches, I still find it tedious to have to do so.

If I were to make something using only this block I would be inclined to either make much larger blocks or use it as an overall pattern. Apart from that minor adjustment, it is a very enjoyable pattern. It comes from “100 Bright and Colourful Granny Squares to Mix and Match” by Leonie Morgan on page 64.
