This block uses the back post technique to great effect creating double the alternating colour stripes. It is almost too busy. Physics conspires to pull the square heavily out of shape but that can be sorted once it has been strongly blocked.
Many of the blocks in this book have slight variations and so in this case I have decided to work the variation as well. This method alternates between back and front post techniques producing a very different, far less busy block. This alternation of front and back posts also gives physics the chance to balance the strain.
Both blocks come from “100 Bright and Colourful Granny Squares to Mix and Match” by Leonie Morgan on page 66 and 67 respectively. They count as the 29th and 30th blocks in my challenge.
