Granny Rose Square

I have moved on to a new book. It is part of my personal challenge to choose ten squares from each book. My latest book – as always a library acquisition- is called “75 Crocheted Floral Blocks” by Betty Barnden. This block is on page 67.

I don’t often come across patterns in double treble (US triple treble) so I enjoyed the change of pace. Of course the result is a much bigger block but the challenge of how to incorporate different sized blocks in one project is for some other time. It was worrying about this that stalled me the first time I attempted this challenge.

Who am I? I am different things to different people. I am a poet, a visual artist, a sculptor of found objects, and a writer. I am a bookkeeper, an office manager, an administrator and software support consultant, even a short-order cook and barista. I am a parent, a grandparent, a sibling, a cousin and a friend. I am a traveller, a technophile, a philosopher and a student of all things.
